The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to outline the number of EC programmes where funding is available for job creation and other employment related schemes, and if he has examined the present situation with a view to getting the maximum financial draw down, and the plans he has to make the programme more widely available throughout local communities.
I also received notice from Senator Burke of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to outline if a kidney dialysis machine will be provided for Castlebar General Hospital, County Mayo.
I also received notice from Senator Fahey of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Justice to address the concern of Galway city traders on the problems related to excessive alcohol consumption on city streets and to ensure acceptable behaviour in the city day and night.
I also received notice from Senator McDonagh of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education to allocate funds for the proposed extension to Athenry vocational school. County Galway, in order that the school will not have to turn away some first year students in September due to lack of space.

The need for the Minister for Finance to accelerate the work programme at Fore Abbey, County Westmeath, and to improve facilities to cater for the increased number of visitors to this historic village.

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the Stella Maris school in Foynes, County Limerick, continues as a second level institution after 1995 in view of the withdrawal of the religious community and the decision not to accept first year students from September 1993.
I also received notice from Senator Farrelly of the following matter:
If the Minister for Health intends to allocate sufficient funds in 1993 for new facilities at the outpatients clinic of Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, County Meath; and if work will commence on the upgrading of this hospital.
I regard the matters raised by Senators Daly, Burke, Fahey, McDonagh, Cassidy, Neville and Farrelly as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Daly's and Burke's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
