Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 3 Jun 1993

Vol. 136 No. 10

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator McGennis that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to have prior consultation with the local community before recommissioning the incinerator at Blanchardstown Hospital, Dublin 15.

I also received notice from Senator Cosgrave of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Marine to investigate the oil spillage along the east coast with the resultant harm to wildlife and beaches.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to include in its regulation on health and safety in the Army, the regulation agreed between PDFORRA and the Health and Safety Authority in place of the wording included by the Minister which is totally unacceptable to Army representatives.

I also received notice from Senator Farrelly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to state if she intends to purchase a site for a second level school in Dunboyne, County Meath; and if funds will be made available in 1993 for the commencement of this work.

I regard the matters raised by Senators McGennis, Cosgrave and Neville and Farrelly as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators McGennis's and Cosgrave's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Neville and Farrelly may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
