On Report Stage a Senator may speak only once except the proposer of an amendment, who may reply to the discussion on it. Each amendment must be seconded. However, some Government amendments introduce new material which does not arise out of the Committee Stage debate. The Leader will move a motion of recommittal in respect of these amendments. The House, by agreeing to this motion to recommit, allows a Committee Stage type discussion on these amendments only, that is, Members may speak more than once on each amendment when it is debated.

I move:
That the Family Law Bill, 1994 be recommitted in respect of amendments Nos. 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 19, 21, 27, 30, 31, 36, 37, 39, 40, 44, 45 and 46.
