Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to outline her plans for the placement of female persons sentenced to detention in view of the postponement of the building of the new women's prison.

I have received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to urgently clarify the existing arrangements for the entry of law students to the Law Society as the recent court decision has caused distress and uncertainty for all law students.

I have received notice from Senator Kelly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to give senior training centre status to the Riverside training centre at Rathkeale, County Limerick.

I have received notice from Senator Cosgrave of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to address the problem of delays in the issuing of folios in respect of certain counties by the Land Registry.

I have received notice from Senator Daly on the following matter:

To ask the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement on the current situation regarding applications for EU Cohesion Funds for water and sewerage schemes, with particular reference to County Clare, and when decisions will be taken on individual projects.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senator Henry and Senator Enright and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
