Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 24 Oct 1996

Vol. 149 No. 1

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Rory Kiely that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to indicate the dates work will commence and be completed on the South Ring Road, Limerick City, the Croom by-pass and the new road from Limerick to Adare; and also when work will be completed on the Limerick-Tralee road at Barnagh, Newcastlewest.

When is the convention?

I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Kiely on the grounds of lack of ministerial responsibility.

The National Roads Authority is coming to Kilfinnan tomorrow and we will find out for Senator Kiely. Mr. Liam Lenihan will help us.
