Vol. 149 No. 9

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Reynolds that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide funding in 1996 or 1997 for the first phase development of a residential hospice service for the North-West Hospice.

I have also received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to raise the concerns about the treatment of prisoners in Israel and, in particular, the recent Supreme Court decision allowing prisoners to be subject to physical ill treatment by the police.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they can be taken at the conclusion of business.
