Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 29 Jan 1997

Vol. 149 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

I move item 2b on the Supplementary Order Paper 1b:

That Seanad Éireann agrees with the recommendation of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges that, as Chairman of the All-Party Committee on the Constitution, Mr. Jim O'Keeffe T.D. be invited to address the Seanad at its meeting on Thursday, 30 January 1997, and at any subsequent meeting of the Seanad when statements on the Constitutional Review of the Seanad are being made.

What does that mean in terms of freedom of information?

I should say in English that it means Deputy Jim O'Keeffe, Chairman of the all-party committee on the Constitution, can open and be present at tomorrow's debate on the reform of the Seanad.

Question put and agreed to.
