Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Dan Kiely that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to ensure that the mid-term evaluation of the operational programme for transport funding will not be transferred from the projects proposed for the Shannon Estuary at Moneypoint.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the extension to Ballingarry boys' national school, County Limerick, is completed in 1997.

I have also received notice from Senator Finneran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction and provide the necessary funds for the construction of a new national school at Cloontuskert, County Roscommon.

I have also received notice from Senator Mooney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to report on the discussions of the interdepartmental committee established by her to address the special needs of children with disabilities.

I have also received notice from Senator Kelleher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to appoint the necessary technical staff to ensure that Gaelscoil Peig Saor, Cork, proceeds.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Kiely's and Senator Neville's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
