Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 23 Apr 1997

Vol. 151 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Maloney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on the closing off of the Port Road in Letterkenny on Easter Sunday night.

I have also received notice from Senator Doyle of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to give serious consideration to the arguments of a group of social workers to have their qualifications and experience validated. These social workers hold Bachelor of Social Science degrees, have long years of experience in social work practice and are employed by various agencies throughout the country.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
