Vol. 151 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to outline the procedures recently put in place at airports and harbours for aliens, who may be asylum seekers, arriving in Ireland from the United Kingdom and to explain the delay in the appointment of the Refugee Applications Commission, interviews for this post having taken place some time ago.

I have also received notice from Senator Norris of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications to review the position of the underground option for the Luas system.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
