Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 17 Dec 1998

Vol. 157 No. 17

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Cosgrave that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Public Enterprise to provide additional capital funding to Iarnród Éireann to enable it to extend the operating times of the DART service in view of the recent failure of the company to reach agreement on the matter.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline his views on the proposals made by the Medical Council on the changes needed to differentiate in the treatment between sick and incompetent doctors.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
