Seanad Éireann debate -
Thursday, 6 May 1999

Vol. 159 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Henry that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that the ethical code of any public hospital does not prevent patients having any treatment which is legal in this country.

I have also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure that adopted children be allowed receive their birth certificates where there is a mutual agreement on the matter with the birth parents.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
