That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend the Mental Health Act, 2001.
I thank the Leader of the House for his co-operation with this. The deficiencies in the health care of mentally ill and mentally handicapped people in the Southern Health Board, reported in the press and on television, illustrates the importance of bringing forward this legislation as rapidly as possible.
