Vol. 169 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Taylor-Quinn that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to address the delays that exist in his Department relating to payments to farmers, including headage, ten and 22-month premia, suckler cow and extensification grants, the reasons for those delays and whether he is aware of the financial hardship experienced by farmers as a result of such delays.

I regard the matter raised by the Senator as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
