I move:
That the proposal that Seanad Éireann resolves that sections 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 (No. 29 of 1996), shall continue in operation for the period ending on 31 December 2004, be referred to the Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights in accordance with paragraph (1)(a)(iii) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee, which, not later than 12 December 2002, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 67, and Standing Order 69(2) shall accordingly apply.
