I wish to propose a change to the Order of Business that at the conclusion of the Second Stage debate on the Commissions of Investigation Bill 2003, which is due to conclude at 6.30 p.m, the Seanad will meet for a further hour to conclude Second Stage of the Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs Bill 2003. I have spoken with the leaders of the main parties on the matter. The Minister for Education and Science, Deputy Dempsey, has issued a strong plea requesting that the Seanad complete Second Stage of the Bill this evening as he hopes to have the council in place when students return to school in September.
