Vol. 183 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Ulick Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to intervene with the Health Service Executive, western area, to appoint a school dentist at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, as 24 national schools in the area have been without dental services for the past three months.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to provide a new health centre in the village of Keadue, Boyle, County Roscommon.

I have also received notice from Senator Kenneally of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to clarify the problem of recruiting clerical staff to work in Garda stations due to the Civil Service recruitment embargo.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to clarify the position with regard to one-off funding for Kenagh Community Centre, County Longford.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected those raised by Senators Ulick Burke, Feighan and Kenneally and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Bannon may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
