Vol. 185 No. 17

Appropriation Bill 2006: Committee and Remaining Stages.

Sections 1 to 3, inclusive, agreed to.
Schedule 1 agreed to.
Schedule 2 agreed to.
Title agreed to.
Bill received for final consideration.
Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass."

I wish the Minister of State, his officials, all Senators and the officials from the Houses the very best for Christmas. I do not know whether I would wish the Minister of State and those on the other side of the House unbridled success in 2007. However, I hope they have some success at least and that those on this side of the House have more success. I sincerely wish everybody all the best for the holiday season.

I repeat the good wishes I already incorporated in my Second Stage speech.

I thank all the Senators in the expedition through the House of the Bill, which is an important piece of housekeeping. I extend my best wishes for Christmas and the new year to all and sundry. I know Senator Phelan said he would reserve fire until the new year. I wish him and his county the very best in the hurling next year.

I wish the Minister of State and his staff a very happy Christmas. I remind him that Limerick also has a hurling team.

Question put and agreed to.
