Vol. 186 No. 20

Visit of US Delegation.

I am sure Members of the House will wish to join me in welcoming a congressional delegation from the United States of America led by Congressman Richard E. Neal, chairman of the Friends of Ireland group, who I had the pleasure of meeting recently when I was in Washington. This group was set up by Senator Ted Kennedy some years ago and is very valuable to Irish people in America. I would also like to welcome the former chairman of the Friends of Ireland group, Congressman Jim Walsh, who is a member of the delegation and has close connections to this House. On my behalf, and that of all colleagues in Seanad Éireann, I extend a very warm welcome to the delegation and sincere good wishes for a very successful visit.
