Vol. 187 No. 21

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to raise the level of funding for group sewerage schemes to that of group water schemes to encourage more environmentally sound rural planning.

I have also received notice from Senator Ivana Bacik of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to clarify the reason the rights of children under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child were not considered when the Government introduced the habitual residence condition.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
