Vol. 188 No. 11

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to clarify the timeframe for the implementation of the Clare-Galway bypass as indicated in the programme for Government.

I have also received notice from Senator Nicky McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to clarify the reason he has not approved funding for Westmeath County Council's application, given Athlone's gateway status, to provide the main drainage necessary to service the increased growth and development as required by the national spatial strategy.

I have also received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to clarify the current position in developing the 24 hour Garda station for north Inishowen both in terms of the personnel and the building of the new facility in Carndonagh, County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Ciaran Cannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide an update on the provision of a new community school in Glenamaddy, County Galway.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure the BreastCheck service is rolled out in Donegal as quickly as possible.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to hasten the process for Irish citizens to adopt children from overseas.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Healy Eames, McFadden and Keaveney and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Cannon, Ó Domhnaill and Ross may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
