Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline the current status of the health check for all citizens promised in the programme for Government.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to progress the scheduled development work on the Gortahork-Falcarragh water supply scheme and the Rosses regional water supply scheme; and to outline the details surrounding the acceptability from a health point of view of asbestos pipes in supplying public water in the above mentioned schemes.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to advance the planning process of Howth Road national school to development stage.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to publish a complete list of all school projects in the building programme together with indicative times for completion.

I have also received notice from Senator Ivor Callely of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the concern regarding the impact on the pharmaceutical supply chain arising out of the proposed reimbursement and new contracts for pharmacies.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Keaveney, Ó Domhnaill and Ross and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Doherty and Callely may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
