Message from Dáil.

The House has received the following message from the Dáil. Dáil Éireann has agreed, on 11 February 2009, to amendments Nos. 1 to 70, inclusive, and amendments Nos. 72 to 83, inclusive, made by Seanad Éireann to the Charities Bill 2007. Dáil Éireann has agreed to amendment No. 71 with the following amendment:

In paragraph (d), all words after “a collection box shall” deleted and the following substituted:

"(i) in the case of a cash collection on behalf of a charitable organisation, bear the name and registered number of the charitable organisation on behalf of which the collection is being made, and

(ii) in the case of a cash collection on behalf of a body other than a charitable organisation, bear the name of the body on behalf of which the collection is being made,

in a prominent and clearly legible manner.".

to which the agreement of Seanad Éireann is desired.
