Vol. 194 No. 17

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

Go rachaidh an Roinn Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta ar aghaidh le tairiscintí a lorg chun obair a dhéanamh faoi scéim na bóithre aise í nGaeltacht Dhún na nGall ar na deontais a bhí ceadaithe do 29 bóthar faoin scéim seo.

I have also received notice from Senator Ciaran Cannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science, in respect of Seamount College, Kinvara, County Galway, to confirm that any lease agreement will be structured to allow the earliest possible transition, on a phased basis, to a co-educational model, even if temporarily on the present site.

I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to make a statement on the proposed transfer of the Breast Clinic from South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital to Cork University Hospital.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to outline the way in which he will provide for a more efficient and easier visa system for students wishing to choose Ireland as a base for studying the English language.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Ó Domhnaill, Cannon and Buttimer and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Healy Eames may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
