Vol. 200 No. 10

Business of Seanad.

Before calling Senator Glynn I welcome Councillor Paddy Smith from Cavan to the Visitors Gallery.

I propose the suspension of the House until 12.20 p.m.

The business was set for the day on the Order of Business.

It was only a short time ago.

When a Minister is unavailable, this is common practice. It is only a matter of minutes.

With due respect to the Government speaker, I do not accept it is common practice. When a Minister knows the schedule of this House, he should give it that respect.

If we do not have agreement I must put the question. Is the suspension agreed?

Question, "That the sitting be suspended until 12.20 p.m.," put and declared carried.
Sitting suspended at 12.05 p.m. and resumed at 12.20 p.m.
