I have received notice from Senator Cecilia Keaveney that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to respond to the report of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from June 2009 on teaching history in areas of recent conflict and the efforts, if any, she will make to have the report discussed at the North-South Ministerial Council.
I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Social Protection, arising from the recent flooding crisis, to ensure humanitarian aid is provided for all flood victims to ensure equality prevails.
I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health and Children to reverse her decision to reduce the number of home help hours in County Donegal from 52,000 per month in 2009 to 46,000 hours per month in 2010.
I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the timeline for completion of the N25 flyover at Sarsfield Road and Bishopstown Court, Cork, and to commit funding to same.
I regard the matters raised by Senators Keaveney, Healy Eames and Doherty as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I must rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Buttimer, as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
