Vol. 215 No. 8

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Ned O'Sullivan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to outline the up-to-date position regarding the proposed liquified gas terminal in north Kerry.

I have also received notice from Senator Kathryn Reilly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to provide an update on his plans for an extension to St. Mary's national school, Virginia, County Cavan, and the status of the school's future development plans.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to provide additional resources to the Garda Síochána to develop and fully resource the drugs unit within County Donegal, given the societal challenges of drug abuse and drug pushing in the county.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to outline when it is proposed to implement the recommendations of the working group on medical negligence and periodic payments as outlined in the report presented by Mr. Justice John Quirke in October 2010.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
