Vol. 221 No. 6

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Colm Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to clarify the up-to-date position on the negotiations between the Health Service Executive, his Department and the Medical Council to enable doctors who are employed in the supervised division to now be registered in the general division, thereby allowing them to continue working in Ireland.

I have also received notice from Senator Ned O'Sullivan of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to ensure Iarnród Éireann puts in place suitable platform crossing infrastructure in rural railway stations.

I regard the matter raised by Senator Colm Burke as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Ned O’Sullivan as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
