I have received notice from Senator John Kelly that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide information by way of comparative figures for the provision of home help services on a regional basis between the first quarter of 2011 and the first quarter of 2013 across the country, the number of hours provided, the number of clients, the average number of individual hours for each client, the overall spend in each period in each region and the relevant percentage of spend from the annual home help budget for each period.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to clarify the up-to-date position on the transposing into law of the cross-border health care directive 2011/24/EU.

I have also received notice from Senator Denis O’Donovan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to honour his pre-election commitment to return home help hours to the 2011 figure; and if he will make a statement on the matter in view of the fact that elderly people are suffering as a result of the cutbacks.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

I have also received notice from Senator Averil Power of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline his proposals to address the chaotic situation in the Dublin north mental health service and make a statement on the matter.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Moran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to address the lack of residential services for people with a disability in urgent need of residential care (details supplied).

I have also received notice from Senator David Cullinane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to discuss the need for 24-7 cardiology services at Waterford Regional Hospital, particularly in the light of the commitment to enhanced cardiology services contained in the Higgins report, and to make a statement on the matter.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators John Kelly, Colm Burke, Denis O’Donovan and Trevor Ó Clochartaigh and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Averil Power, Mary Moran and David Cullinane may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
