Vol. 255 No. 11

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Maria Byrne that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to consider including Down's syndrome as a qualifying criterion for the July provision scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to make a statement on the position of the board of management of Clonkeen College secondary school in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to provide an update on the funding due to Clare County Council for coastal protection works carried out in Lahinch, County Clare, following damage caused by the storms of January 2014.

I have also received notice from Senator Kieran O'Donnell of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to provide an update on proposals to compensate third-party claimants of Setanta Insurance.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion. I have selected them all and they will be taken now.
