I have also received notice from Senator Keith Swanick of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to review the practice of placing young people with disabilities in nursing home accommodation and to make a statement on the case of a person, details supplied, who has applied for independent living.

I have also received notice from Senator Michelle Mulherin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to provide an update on the designation of raised and blanket bogs and to outline the plans, if any, in place to extend the current designation, including identifying the counties and areas affected.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Gavan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to make a statement on calls for the Israeli ambassador to be expelled following recent events in Palestine.

I have also received notice from Senator Catherine Noone of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline the research being conducted to test the effectiveness of e-cigarettes in helping smokers to quit the habit.

I have also received notice from Senator Aidan Davitt of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of Transport, Tourism and Sport to address the concerns of Na Fianna CLG and Home Farm FC on the proposed use of their playing fields on St. Mobhi Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, for the location of the tunnel boring depot for the MetroLink project.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Coghlan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to make a statement on the management of the native red and sika deer population in Killarney National Park, County Kerry.

I have also received notice from Senator Máire Devine of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on parental representation on the HSE primary care steering group.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to confirm the opening date of the primary care centre in Gurranabraher, Cork, and to give an outline of the services that this facility will provide.

I have also received notice from Senator Kevin Humphreys of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to provide an update on the delivery of 900 housing units in the Poolbeg West development, Dublin, and the steps being taken to ensure delivery of the additional 550 affordable housing and rental units.

I have also received notice from Senator Rose Conway-Walsh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to provide an update on the review of Bus Éireann route No. 52 between Ballina, County Mayo, and Galway city.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to consider putting in place a redress scheme to provide financial support to home purchasers who now find that their property was not properly constructed and is non-compliant with building and fire regulations.

Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected those raised by Senators Feighan, Swanick, Mulherin and Gavan and they will be taken now. I regret I had to rule out of order the matters submitted by Senators Davitt and Conway-Walsh on the grounds that the relevant Minister has no official responsibility in each matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
