I have received notice from Senator Colm Burke that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline the action being taken to increase the availability of therapeutic services in line with current best practice and the growing needs of the students in Scoil Cara junior school, Banduff, Mayfield, Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Keith Swanick of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the availability of the drug Spinraza for the 25 children in Ireland who suffer from spinal muscular atrophy.

I have also received notice from Senator Maria Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the appointment of a neurology clinical nurse specialist for the UL Hospitals Group.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make it obligatory for sight loss advisers to be in place in all hospital groups to assist persons who are diagnosed with sight loss in accessing supports and services in a timely way.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and will be taken now.
