Vol. 265 No. 2

Gnó an tSeanaid - Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Máire Devine that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to provide a statement on the recent AsIAm survey on school exclusion and children with autism.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on proposed improvements to the medical care service for patients who suffer from fibromyalgia.

I have also received notice from Senator Robbie Gallagher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the actions he is taking to counteract the property tax trap that will force pensioners and people on low and fixed incomes to pay property tax rather than defer payments.

I have also received notice from Senator Pádraig Mac Lochlainn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to provide an update on the mica redress scheme for affected homeowners in County Donegal.

Of the matters raised by the Senators that are suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Devine, Colm Burke and Gallagher and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Mac Lochlainn on the ground that it is a repeat of a Commencement matter raised on 20 December 2018.
