I have received notice from Senator Eugene Murphy that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on the delays in processing work permits through the employment permits online system.

I have also received notice from Senator Barry Ward of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to permit category B licence holders to drive category AM vehicles.

I have also received notice from Senator Lynn Ruane of the following matter:

I have also received notice from Senator Malcolm Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to provide an update on the introduction of a basic income scheme for artists.

I have also received notice from Senator Fiona O'Loughlin of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the regeneration of St. Patrick’s Park, Rathangan, County Kildare.

I have also received notice from Senator Micheál Carrigy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the relocation of the Phoenix Centre in Longford.

I have also received notice from Senator Victor Boyhan of the following matter:

I have also received notice from Senator John McGahon of the following matter:

I have also received notice from Senator Maria Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on progress in the roll-out of the programme on women’s health announced in budget 2022.

I have also received notice from Senator Erin McGreehan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to make a statement on measures to reduce fuel poverty, such as utilising surplus renewable energy on the grid.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on resourcing at the adult metabolic service in the Mater Hospital and resourcing for response testing to new innovative therapies for phenylketonuria, PKU, treatment.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Seery Kearney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on progress on the employment regulation order to determine terms and conditions of employment for childcare workers.

Of the matters raised by the Senators that are suitable for discussion, I have selected those of Senators Murphy, Ward, Ruane and Clifford-Lee, and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator McGahon as the Minister has no official responsibility in that matter and it is a repeat of a Commencement matter raised on 27 January 2022. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
