I welcome the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development to the meeting which has been convened to consider the two Supplementary Estimates for his Department. I also welcome the officials accompanying the Minister, Mr. Tom Arnold, Assistant Secretary, Miss Marian Byrne, Principal Officer and Mr. Frank Chambers, Higher Executive Officer.

One of the Supplementary Estimates for the Department is for £20,246,000 and the other is for £13,500,000.
