This is a standard section which gives the short title of the Act and provides for its collective citation with the Fisheries Act, the Mercantile Marine Act and the Merchant Shipping Acts depending on the sections involved. It also provides that the Act shall come into operation on such day as the Minister shall by order appoint. It is a formal type of section one sees in most Bills before they are enacted.
