SECTION 76.
Question proposed: "That section 76 be deleted from the Bill".
I will be reinstating this provision as it was originally drafted into the wrong part of the Bill. It was then considered better, in the interests of clarity, to provide two distinct sections, one for hire purchase and the other for consumer hire.
The matter is becoming what Deputy Connolly would describe as exceedingly complex.
The section is being resubmitted in an appropriately amended form by amendment No. 187.
