I move amendment No. 25:
In page 12, subsection (1), line 45, after "and" to insert ", subject to section 8(3).".
The purpose of this amendment is to clarify that the effect of a licence granted in terms binding on the State and other persons does not cut across other rights already held either beneficially by the owner of a private fishery or the holder of an oyster fishery licence or order. The insertion of a reference to section 8(3) copperfastens the consent requirement in certain circumstances where such existing rights are held.
