Credit Union Restructuring Board (Dissolution) Bill 2019: Committee Stage

I remind Deputies to ensure that their mobile phones are switched off. This is important because the use of mobile phones can cause serious problems for broadcasting, editorial and sound staff. We have received apologies from the Chairman, Deputy McGuinness. In his unavoidable absence, is it agreed that I deputise as Acting Chairman for today's meeting? Agreed. Deputy Quinlivan is deputising for Deputy Pearse Doherty.

The purpose of this meeting is to carry out our Committee Stage consideration of the Credit Union Restructuring Board (Dissolution) Bill 2019. I welcome the Minister of State, Deputy D'Arcy, and his officials. This Bill was referred to the committee by Dáil Éireann on 13 March 2019. No amendments have been tabled for consideration. In order to provide for the smooth running of the meeting, any Deputy acting in substitution for a member should formally notify the clerk now, if he or she has not already done so. Deputy Quinlivan has already provided such a notification. Divisions will be taken if and as they arise.

Sections 1 to 22, inclusive, agreed to.
Title agreed to.
Bill reported without amendment.

That concludes our consideration of the Bill. I thank the Minister of State and Deputy Quinlivan for attending.
