Report of Select Committee.

In accordance with Standing Order 79B the following message will be sent by the Clerk to the Clerk of the Dáil:

The Select Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the Intoxicating Liquor Bill, 2000 [Seanad], and has made amendments thereto.

Is that agreed?

Ordered to report to the Dáil accordingly.

I thank the Minister, his officials and the Deputies who participated in dealing with the Bill.

The next meeting of the Select Committee is at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, 27 June to consider an agreement with the Czech Republic - that has been changed from a meeting of the Joint Committee to one of the Select Committee. There will then be a meeting of the Joint Committee regarding the committee's work programme. Deputy Howlin's motion about extending an invitation to Mr. Hugh O'Flaherty to appear before the committee is also being organised for next Tuesday. An agenda will be available today. I ask Members to stay a little longer to agree the time. I thank the Minister and his officials.

The Select Committee went into private session at 4.28 p.m. and adjourned at 4.32 p.m.
