Message to Dáil.

In accordance with Standing Order 79B, the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Select Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Bill, 1999, and has made amendments thereto.

I thank the committee members, the Minister and the officials for the way business has been expedited today.

We wish the Minister and his officials a happy and trouble free Christmas, apart from any political trouble we may create on this side of the House.

I echo what has been said.

I reciprocate that on a personal level.

The Joint Committee will meet next Tuesday at 2.30 p.m.

The Select Committee adjourned at 1.02 p.m. sine die.
