SECTION 4.

I move amendment No. 10:

In page 6, subsection (4), line 23, to delete "Act" and substitute "section".

Section 4 (4) obliges a refugee "who applies for a travel document under this section to furnish such information as the Minister may reasonably require for the purpose of his or her functions under the Bill". This would allow the Minister to require the applicant to provide information completely unrelated to the application for a travel document. To remove that possibility, the amendment ensures that all the Minister can look for under section 4 (4) is information which is relevant to the issuing of travel documents, and no other information.
