Amendment 57 is in the name of the Minister. Amendments. Nos. 58 and 59 are consequential and may be discussed together by agreement.
SECTION 50.
I move amendment No. 57:
In page 48, subsection (3), lines 33 and 34, to delete "and, if so, shall refer the agreement to an equality mediation officer for mediation in accordance with section 51." and substitute the following:
"and—
(a) if the Director considers that the question could be so resolved, the Director shall refer the agreement to an equality mediation officer for mediation in accordance with section 51; and
(b) if the Director considers that the question could not be so resolved, the Director shall proceed in accordance with paragraphs (b) and (c) of subsection (4).".
