SECTION 48.

Question proposed : " That Section 48 stand part of the Bill. "

I suggest there should be a provision in this section that notice of intention to vary a contract should be included in the notice of the meeting in the same way as you would have to give notice that you were going to propose a resolution as an extraordinary resolution in the notice calling a meeting. People do not turn up to the statutory meetings at all and it would be wrong that some material alteration should be made in the contract without their being told. There may be a general power but I think it would be desirable to put it in specifically.

If you would look at Section 130 (4) (e)——

Yes. That seems to be the answer there. I had not spotted it.
