I move amendment No. 109:

In subsection (1), line 8, to delete " subject to subsection (2) ".

Amendment No. 109 is consequential on amendment No. 110. I suggest that we take them together.

What is the effect of amendment No. 109?

Mr. J. Lynch

We are deleting subsection (2) by amendment No. 110. Subsection (1) commences with the words: " Subject to subsection (2) . . ." These words are, therefore, not necessary and are being deleted by amendment No. 109.

Consequently we can discuss the two together.

Amendment No. 109 is necessary because you are knocking out subsection (2)?

Yes.
