Election of Chairman.

Acting Chairman (Clerk to the Committee)

Good afternoon and welcome. I will now accept nominations for election as Chairman of the Committee.

I nominate Deputy Micheál Martin.

Is there a seconder for that proposal?

Yes, I second the proposal.

I nominate Deputy Enright.

I second that proposal.

As there are two proposals for Chairman I shall put them to the Committee in the order in which I have received them. The first proposal is that Deputy Micheál Martin be Chairman of the Committee as proposed by Deputy Dennehy and seconded by Deputy John O'Donoghue.
