Special Committee Wildlife Bill, 1975 debate -
Tuesday, 22 Jun 1976

Procedure

Could we fix a time for our next meeting before we commence business?

We discussed this last week and it was proposed that we have a second session this week.

There is a meeting of the Public Accounts on Thursday morning.

Could we meet tomorrow afternoon? Would that be convenient?

The Adoption Bill is coming up in the Dáil tomorrow and it is an important Bill.

The EEC subcommittee is meeting tomorrow afternoon.

What about tomorrow morning?

There is a party meeting. Does the Minister not think he is doing well enough with one meeting a week?

Suppose we go ahead now and we may possibly get through a fair amount of business and we can discuss the next sitting then.

Very well. We completed section 13. We will move on now to section 14.

The Minister was to look into the question of voluntary bodies on section 13. We agreed to consider the question of their representation on the advisory council.

That is so.

I said I had not given any particular thought to it.

The Minister will recall that Deputy L'Estrange agreed with us, and that should be persuasive from the Minister's point of view.

I am sure the record will show that up.
