Special Committee Wildlife Bill, 1975 debate -
Tuesday, 9 Nov 1976

SECTION 75.

Question proposed: "That section 75 stand part of the Bill."

Cavan): This section gives discretion to the courts to revoke game licences and disqualify licence holders on conviction of offences under Part II of the Bill, the wildlife conservation and hunting provisions. This is an extension of the provision in the Game Preservation Act, 1930, whereby a person convicted of an offence against the game hunting provisions of that Act could have his firearm certificate revoked by the court.

This is an enabling provision?

Question put and agreed to.
