Admission of Press

Admission of Press.

Chairman

We have a request from the Press to be admitted. It appears that, according to the Standing Orders, it is necessary to have a resolution in order to admit Press representatives.

I move that the Press be admitted.

I do not want to cloak publicity, but except there is some object in admitting the Press, I do not see why they should be admitted. No case has been put forward to justify Deputy Rice's motion.

Motion, by leave, withdrawn.
