1002 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the reason phase 2 of the restoration works to Maynooth Castle, Maynooth County Kildare was excluded from consideration as a project under the mid-term review of capital projects in the built heritage area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 201 of 11 December 2003. The position in relation to the prioritisation of further facilities at Maynooth Castle remains the same.

The recent mid-term review of the national development plan did not address the prioritisation of individual projects in the built heritage area and adjustments in this regard will continue to be considered in light of evolving circumstances.

Question No. 1003 answered with QuestionNo. 920.
